After performing an initial lease check in the clients area of interest, we provide a thorough and accurate map of available acreage, competition, and current pricing in the area.  We will then custom tailor an acquisition strategy for our clients that will allow them build their prospect in an timely and cost effective manner.


Once an area of interest has been designated, Sawgrass will complete mineral title on each tract of land to identify the exact mineral ownership on the areas of interest. We identify all working interest owners and provide reports detailing their working and net revenue interests.

Sawgrass has vast experience in nationwide surface site acquisitions.  Whether you need a well-pad, storage facility, or any other type of surface location acquired we handle negotiating with the surface owner to discuss the activities that will take place on the future location. We ensure that the wells are properly staked and that a good relationship is established between you and your surface owners. We have staked hundreds of wells, storage facilities, and pipeline routes from the Marcellus to the SCOOP, STACK, and Monterey Shale. Our experience is a great advantage to our clients as we can anticipate problems and develop real and useful solutions to prevent relations from turning sour.


Sawgrass got their start securing ROW for clients who were rehabbing old lines in the Marcellus.  Sawgrass has extensive experience acquiring ROW Agreements linking wells to sales pipelines. We prepare routes utilizing GIS mapping and obtain ROW from surface owners to allow installation and operation of gathering lines.  In addition Sawgrass also provides our clients with crop, timber, and property damage appraisal services so all damages can be settled in a timely manner.


Sawgrass works with clients and third party seismic contractors to acquire surface and mineral permits to allow seismic operations.  Sawgrass is well versed in dealing with state and local agencies to permit surface locations, pipeline installation and seismic shoots in urban areas. Having an office and projects in Nevada Sawgrass is very experience in leasing federal lands from the BLM and is available to attend lease sales on behalf of our clients. We also have vast experience in acquiring water from state and local agencies for use in drilling and completion operations.
